NOTE CARDS

PRO CAREER
A second-round draft choice in 2003, Boldin became the most prolific rookie receiver in league annals with 101 receptions, which broke the previous NFL record of 98 (New England’s Terry Glenn 1996). The only rookie selected to the 2004 Pro Bowl, Boldin recorded five 100-yard games in his rookie season and was the only receiver to post a 100-yard game for the Cardinals in 2004. Missed the first six games of 2004 with a knee injury suffered in training camp. In 2005, caught 102 passes for 1,402 yards and seven touchdowns while becoming the franchise leader in consecutive games with 100 or more yards receiving with five. He and Larry Fitzgerald became the second tandem of receivers with 100 receptions and 1,400 yards in a season.

2003 In his first professional season Boldin caught at least three passes in all 16 games and his five 100-yard receiving games were the most by a Cardinal since 1998 (Frank Sanders, 5) … authored the Cards’ three longest plays from scrimmage, all touchdowns (71, 60, and 54 yards), and eight of the top 10 … led the NFL with 40 third-down receptions and registered 64 first downs to lead all rookies … held the third-down receiving leader spot for 15 of 17 weeks … stellar rookie campaign began @ Det (9/7) with a 10-reception, 217-yard day, the latter the season’s league-wide single-game best.
